Abstract

PURPOSE:To feed wire electrode at an optimum rate suitable for the working condition, by controlling feeding speed of wire electrode by the wirecut electric discharge machining in accordance with the speed determined by the working power and thickness of the work. CONSTITUTION:Pulse voltage is applied to the wire electrode 3 and the work 4 from the power source for the working, and this working power is set by power regulator 12. When this working power set value and the value of plate thickness of the work, inputted manually through input device 13, are inputted to the imformation processing portion 11, feeding speed of the wire electrode is calculated by the arithmetic circuit 15 based on the specification of the wire electrode stored in the memory 14, and the control signal is sent to the controlling portion 8. The controlling portion 8 controls the wire winding motor 7 in accordance with the control signal. Therefore optimum wire feed in accordance with the working power and the plate thickness is automatically performed.
