Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable safe and sure non-contact measurement of temperature of insulated conductors of a high-voltage cable or the like by arranging a temperature-sensitive magnetic body having a cut part so as to surround a central conductor and by conducting measurement of magentic flux in the vicinity of the cut part. CONSTITUTION:The temperature-sensitive magnetic body having the cut part in a part thereof is arranged so as to surround the central conductor and on a covering body covering the outer periphery of these items a pair of magnetic sensors are arranged. For instance, a ring 18 formed of a temperature-sensitive substance having a cut-opened part 20 is arranged so as to surround the central conductor 12 of a cable 10, the outside thereof is covered with an outside covering conductor 14, and an insulator 16 is filled up in a space between two conductors. Moreover, the magnetic sensors 22 are mounted at a place A near the aforesaid cut part and at another place B opposed to the former on the outside of the aforesaid covering conductor. In such arrangement, values shown by two sensors become equal when the temperature of the central conductor exceeds the Curie point, while they become different from each other under the influence of the convergence action of the magnetic flux of the magnetic substance caused when the temperatre falls below the Curie point, and thus the judgement of temperature becomes possible.
