Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a lubrication grease capable of reducing the corona noise of a steel-cored aluminum (alloy) cable (ACSR) for a high tension power line, by adding specific amounts of a thickener consisting of a cellulose derivative and/or starch derivative, etc. and water.
CONSTITUTION: The objective lubrication grease is composed mainly of a mixture of (A) 5W50wt% thickener selected from cellulose derivatives, starch derivatives, alginic acid salts, polyacrylic acid salts, and silicic acid salts, and (B) water. The grease pref. contains (C) ≤50wt% (poly)ethylene glycol.
EFFECT: The pulling resistance of the cable during laying can be reduced without staining the hydrophilic ACSR surface.
