Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate troubles such as leakage of flux, discharge of an imperfect core wire, clogging of an entrance tube etc. when restarting coating by stopping the core wire of welding rod after finishing of one process of coating and bridging between the entrance tube of a core wire and the coating dies with a core wire. CONSTITUTION:A time setting circuit 29 turns a core stopper 30 on and off by a signal sent from a limit switch 28 which is made on and off by a click. Here, T is the difference between T1, time required for the rear end of a core wire 2 to pass a driving roller 11 after leaving a click 7, and T2, time required for holders 22, 22' to hold the core wire after a solenoid 25 of the stopper 30 is energized. That is, the stopper is turned on after a time T from switch 28 is turned on, and turned off after a specified time (t).
