Instead of the said method, a polyester solution is applied and the whole body is heated at <=100 deg.C to form a polyester resin layer 3. Then, a vertical magnetic alloy recording layer 4 is formed on the resin layer by sputtering, and on the layer, a protective film layer 5 of SiO2, etc., is provided by spin coating or sputtering, thus obtaining a vertical magnetic storage body.
