Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent crawling of a titled paint film by mixing a specific amt. of a nonionic surfactant in a cation type electrodeposition paint bath, and emulsifying oils dispersed in electrodeposition paint.
CONSTITUTION: In cation type electrodeposition paint bath causing oil crawling 50W200ppm nonionic surfactant is added and compounded. A metal made substrate applied with a pretreatment is dipped in this electrodeposition paint bath, and DC current is supplied between the same and a counter electrode, whereby electrodeposition painting is applied. After the substrate is pulled up from the bath, the paint film is dried and is set by baking. Then, the oil in the electrodeposition paint causing in the residual press working oil and the like after degreasing is emulsified and therefore the set paint film free from crawling is obtained.
