Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a device simple and inexpensive by providing a simple controller using sensors, and making a weld line of approximate spirals which are apparently perfect spirals. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 1 is rotated continuously at a constant speed by a driving wheel 15. A welding head 11 repeats the motion of stopping after advancing for a constant distance in the axial direction of the cylinder upon rotation of the cylinder 1, and stopping after advancing again for a constant distance when the cylinder 1 rotates a constant angle by the operation of sensors 13, 14. Hence, the locus of the head 11, that is, the weld line, starts from the point (a), advances for a constant distance, and stops at the point (b), and during this time, the weld line of the line ab is formed. From the point b up to the point c, the head 11 is held stopped and therefore the weld line is formed in the circumferential direction of the cylinder 1. From the point c, the head 11 starts advancing again, and after advancing for a constant distance, it stops at the point (d), and from the poing (e) it further starts advancing and stops at the point (f). In this way, the curved weld line A of the line abcdef is formed on the inside surface of the cylinder 1.
