Abstract
PURPOSE: To cleanse the surface of a check member in the captioned device of a document or the like in a facsimile apparatus by rotating a feed roller in contact with a check member for a fixed time after detection of naught of sheet.
CONSTITUTION: When paper 2 is placed on a paper feed table 1, a detection lever 13 for detecting the existance of paper is swung to a dotted line position 13a to operate a detector 15, so that a motor 16 is driven by a motor driving circuit 20. When paper placed on the paper feed table is out, the lever 13 is located at a chain line position 13A, and the output of the detector 15 drops to low level. Hereupon, an inverter 17 and a timer 18 are operated to maintain rotation of the motor 16 for a fixed time. Accordingly, during this period, a feed roller 3 continues to rotate with the contact surface of a check member 6 brought into contact with the peripheral surface of the feed roller 3, whereby the contact surface of the check member 6 can be cleansed.
