Abstract

PURPOSE:To arrange heads with accurate gap height positions by fitting the heads to the split parts of a head fitting member divided substantially with slits and adjusting the height of a field part. CONSTITUTION:Rotary heads 25-28 required for digital recording and reproduction of PCM mode, etc., of a helical scanning type VRT, etc., are fitted to a channel-shaped head fitting plate 21 forming a free end which couples with a bimorph plate 1. This fitting plate 21 is fitted to a jig and the heads 25-28 are adhered and fixed to respective split parts 31-34 divided with slits 30-, while the gaps 25a-28a of the heads 25-28 are observed through a microscope, etc., the parts 31-34 are deformed to adjust the heights of the gaps 25a'28a, thereby fixing the positions of the parts 31-24 by a coupling member 35. This method facilitates accurate arrangement with accurate head height positions.
