Abstract
1526135 Feeding record tapes ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 19 May 1976 [22 May 1975] 20691/76 Heading G5R A tape recorder having two reels 1, Fig. 1, a head 8, 9 and two tape tensioning levers 3, 16 which are deflected out of their rest positions by the tape tension in opposition to a biasing force has for at least one of the levers a deflection characteristic such as shown in Fig. 2. In region OA the biasing force is kept at a relatively low value whilst maintaining the tape tension sufficiently large to hold the tape against the deflecting devices in a central region BC the biasing force is kept constant to provide the tape tension required for recording or reproduction and in the upper region DE the biasing force is kept at a relatively high value to provide a tape tension above the minimum for high speed winding but below the maximum permissible for the tape. The tensioning lever or levers 3, 16 is biased by a combination of three pre-stressed springs (21, 22, 23, Fig. 3) and an intermediate lever (24) connecting two of the springs (22, 23) at 90 degrees to provide for limited deflections and the required overall deflection characteristic.
