Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled electrolyte solution that contains specific amounts of Na, K, Cl, Ca, Mg and P, thus readily giving an intravenous nutrition transfusion with less contamination chances only by mixing with a glucose solution.
CONSTITUTION: The titled electrolyte solution contains 10W120mEq of Na, K, Cl and 2W150mEq of Ca, Mg and P in 20W50ml solution respectively. The solution is only injected into a glucose solution to give a desired mineral-containing intravenous nutrition base solution. In general, the solution is prepared in two- solution form, i.e., the one solution containing either Ca or P and the other containing the remaining components or the two solutions containing the components except either Ca or P.
