Abstract

PURPOSE:To heighten the cooling of the rear cylinder of an engine having the front and rear cylinders in the form of V, to improve the output performance of the engine, by providing a wind guide to conduct the wind to the rear cylinder whose wind way is blocked by the front cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A V-engine A has two cylinders (a), (b) located at the front and rear as V. The cylinders (a), (b) are shifted rightward and leftward as to the center line of a crankcase (c) so that a part of the rear cylinder (b) is placed inside the corresponding part of the front cylinder (a). Since the wind way of the part of the rear cylinder is blocked by the corresponding part of the front cylinder, the part of the rear cylinder does not receive enough wind in running. For that reason, a wind guide 1 having a front port 1a is provided on the part of the rear cylinder (b). Mounting members 2, 3 are protruded from the inside edges of the top and bottom of the wind guide 1. The mounting members 2, 3 are inserted together with rubber supports 5 in between the cooling fins 4 of the rear cylinder block b1 and head b2 and secured by screws 6.
