CONSTITUTION:At the starting of a copying cycle, a relay RA is turned on simultaneously with the on signal of a higher voltage power source, and contacts RA2 opens so that the electric current which will be a reference for a charger 2 is supplied from the high voltage power source. Then, corona discharge is caused at the charger part, and electric current flows in the case of the charger and a photoreceptor 1. At this time the current flowing in the case is grounded through a resistance R1, and the voltage coresponding to the case current generates across the resistance R. Since the relay contacts RA1 are held closed, a capacitor C is charged up to the voltage across the resistance R, and if the relay is turned off after this, the contacts RA2 are closed and the voltage accumulated in the capacitor C is amplified and is applied to the high voltage power source, by which the output thereof is controlled and the discharge current flowing in the photoreceptor 1 is controlled constant.
