Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the heat transfer pipe for boiler, the bend part of which is prevented from being worn easily and at low cost by a method wherein the bend of the heat transfer pipe is coated with a solid matter same in kind or class as that contained in the combustion exhaust gas.
CONSTITUTION: The heat pipe in zigzag form 1 is arranged in the passage of the combustion exhaust gas so as to located the bends 1a near a furnace wall 2. The outer surface of the bend 1a is coated with fly ash or dust to form a coated layer 5. Owing to the layer 5, the bend 1a can be prevented from being worn due to the exposure to the channelling produced near the furnace wall 2.
