Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a highly efficient and safe thermosiphon type heat transfer pipe for bathboiler or the like by a constitution wherein a cylindrical heat absorbing part, which is installed outdoor and poured with heat transfer medium therein, is connected, by piercing a wall, with a cylindrical heat releasing part equipped with a surmounting part provided indoor so as to get the constitution in which the quantity of heat to be relased is larger than that of heat of be absorbed.
CONSTITUTION: When a combustion part 2 is burnt, the heat of combustion is absorbed through heat absorbing fins 4a in the heat transfer meidum, the vapor of which flows as indicated with the arrows to fill the heat releasng part 5 resulting in raising the pressure in the part 5 so as to discharge the air in the heat releasing part 5 from a valve 12 and to fill the heat transfer pipe 3 with the vapor of the heat transfer medium. Because the quantity of heat to be released at the heat releasing part 5 is larger than that of heat of be absorbed at the heat absorbing part 4 under the condition as described above, the heat transfer medium condenses and flows back to the receiver of the heat absorbing part 4. At this time, the pressure in the heat releasing part 5 becomes negative and as a result the valve 12 is closed to prevent the air from entering in the heat releasing part 5. Due to the constitution as described above, the heat releasing part and the heat absorbing part can be arranged apart and consequently the efficient and safe thermosiphon type heat transfer pipe is obtained.
