Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent deposition of tar in a heat exchanging chamber by exhausting smoke through an open dumper provided in an exhaust passage that opens when only the seed fire is on without allowing the smoke to flow through the heat exchanging chamber.
CONSTITUTION: Solid fuel thrown into fuel port 1 is automatically conveyed from a coal chamber 2 to the first combustion chamber 4. A dumper 30 is provided at the second combustion chamber 11 on the side of an exhaust passage 29 and a tar take out opening 31 is provided at the bottom of the passage. The dumper is closed in normal combustion and opened when the combustion is ceased remaining the seed fire only. The exhaust gas containing great amount of smoke passes through an exhaust passage 29, by-passing the heat exchanger, and discharged through an exhaust port 27. The deposition of tar at the inside of a heat exchanger pipe 22 is prevented.
