Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a simple and stable pressure sensor by constructing an elastic electrode membrane to contact each resistor of a layer resistor of which number of resistor is determined according to the pressure of a diaphragm which swells by fluid pressure. CONSTITUTION:A layer resistor R with unit resistors r1...r7 piled up with insulating pannels 5 in between is arranged in an insulating case 1. A plus electrode 2 is conneted to the upper side of the layer resistor R, and an insulating pannel 4 is attached to the bottom of it. Openings 4-1...4-7 leading to the bottom of the corresponding resistors r1...r7 are arranged at the insulating pannel 4, and a minus elastic electrode membrane 3 is spread closely. A diaphragm 6 is spread underneath, swells according to the fluid pressure, presses the elastic electrode membrane 3 and makes it contact the layer resistor. Its area of contact is proportional to the fluid pressure, which is shown at a pressure meter 7. By this method, a simple and stable pressure sensor can be obtained.
