Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress effectively the effect of creep strain to the value of resistance by providing an elastic body in parallel with the pressure element. CONSTITUTION:A movable plate 4 is attached by adhesion to the main body 3 of a pressure sensor that detects variation in the resistance of a pressure sensitive element 1 at electrode plates 2a and 2b on both faces of the element 1 that is formed by arranging flatly electricity conductive fibers made of carbon fiber, etc. The movable plate 4 is connected to a pressure receiving diaphragm 6 through a force transmission rod 5. The external vessel 7 receives the main body 3 of the pressure sensor and at the same time supports the pressure receiving diaphragm 6. This rod transmits the displacement of the diaphragm 6 and receives addition of stresses that are dispersed between the pressure sensor main body 3 and the pressure receiving diaphragm 6, and main body 3 of the pressure sensor and the pressure receiving diaphragm 6 are arranged in parallel relative to the applied pressure. In this arrangement the effect to the value of resistance due to creep strain is effectively suppressed and the range of measurement can be enlarged.
