Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the supply of machining liquid and enable quick coping with the change of a shape to be machined, by uniting a plurality of thin wire electrodes together by a guide or the like to perform wire-cut discharge machining. CONSTITUTION:A work 25 is mounted on a rest 26 on slide tables 27, 28 so that the work can be moved in directions X, Y. Wire electrodes delivered by wire feed drums 1-3 are pulled out by capstans 18, 19 and pinch rollers 21, 22 and fed at a constant speed against the braking action of brake rollers 4-9. Fixed guides 23, 24 are provided over and under the work 25 to unite the three wire electrodes together and tighten them straight at constant tension. Voltage pulses are applied to the wire electrodes through an electricity supply roller 20 to perform discharge machining.
