Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep a magnetic head contact with a flexible disc always in good state, by freely rocking a pad on one side to a chip side of the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:A moving arm 5 is energized toward the arrow A with a spring 9 inserted with a spring holder 7 and a gymbal spring 10 consisting of thin plate springs is fitted around the free end of the moving arm 5 with three screws 11, 11 and 12. The sprint 10 has a circular part 10c linked with a pair of bridges 10b, and a pad 13 is fitted to the part 10c. Since the force of the spring 9 is delivered to the pad 13 with the projection 5b of the arm 5, the contact surface of the pad 13 follows to the chip surface of the magnetic head 1 freely. Thus, the chip surface of the magnetic head 1 in contact with the disc 4 is always kept in good state to obtain a stable read-in output at all times.
