Abstract

A holder (1) for a stamping contact plate (3) is connected by a bar (6) to a hand grip (20) so that the two constituents are spaced apart, and are retained against relative rotation. In the hand grip is an adjustment body (12) which has a downwardly directed step-shaped end surface (15). The step surface can be brough into register with a projection from the stamp base part (8), so that the displacement movement of the holder can be varied. A spring (19) holds the various parts together, and the hand grip has an indexable member which works in conjunction with different width part sections in the adjustment body for easy identification of the actual adjustment.
