Abstract
PURPOSE:To keep a magnetic head good contact with a flexible disc and to obtain a stable read-in output, by a simple constitution in that the position of a load point supporting the magnetic head is set on the center line of bridging part of a gymbal spring. CONSTITUTION:One side of a flexible disc 1 is in contact with a lower head 3 fixed to a carriage main body 2 and another side is in contacts with an upper head 6 loaded on a symbal spring 5. The spring 5 consists of thin plate springs, 0.05-0.1mm. thick, and it is linked with a shaking free part 5c with a pair of bridge parts 5b extended orthogonally to the X axis which divides the entire length into two broadwise from a fitting section 5a of a moving arm 4, and the upper head 6 is loaded to the rocking free part 5c so as to coincide the center line with the Y axis. Thus, the weight of a spring 11 is exerted equally to the both axes X and Y to obtain the heads 3 and 6 good contact in balancing with the disc 1 plane.
