Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the quality of print and contrive to lengthen the life of a dot print head and operate it at a higher speed by such an arrangement wherein an armature is supported by parallel leaf springs and the elastic energy of the armature can be converted only to parallel moving energy. CONSTITUTION:A dot print head is composed of an armature 8 to which a print element wire 7 is welded and fixed at one end, 2 sheets of leaf spring 9 which support the other end of the armature 8 substantially parallel thereto, and a block member 10 which fixes the 2 sheets of leaf spring 9 and concurrently serves as the magnetic path of a magnetic circuit. The armature 8 which is supported substantially parallel by the two sheets of leaf spring 9 as stated above is able to perform only parallel movement and its rotational movement around the center of gravity is eliminated.
