Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the titled head characterized by a smaller inertia, a higher printing speed, a smaller number of component parts and higher reliability by a construction wherein an arm part performing both the function of supporting the base end of a printing wire and the function of an armature for an electromagnet is composed of a torsion spring made of a magnetic material. CONSTITUTION:In the printing wire for dot printer, the arm part 6 functioning both as an armature and as a wire supporter is provided at the top of the electromagnet 2 which is energized by passing a current therethrough in accordance with a printing signal. The arm part 6 is made of a magnetic material for responding to the magnetic action of the electromagnet 2. The base end of the wire 7 is fixed to the tip part 6a of the arm part 6, and arms 6c of the arm part 6 are formed in a torsion spring configuration.
