Abstract
PURPOSE:To linearize a signal with a high precision by a simple circit, by inputting an input signal having a saturation characteristic to a voltage dividing circuit consisting of a resistance and an FET and by applying a voltage corresponding to the input signal to the gate of the FET. CONSTITUTION:A negative signal ei given to an input terminal 10 is applied to a source S of an N-channel depletion type FET through a resistance R1, and a drain D of the FET is grounded, and the signal ei is applied to a gate G of the FET also. When the resistance between the source and the gate of the FET is denoted as RSD, the output signal eo becomes the product between the input signal ei and a voltage division rate K=1/(1+R1/RSD). Since RSD is increased quadratic-functionally for the negative voltage applied acorss the gate G and the source S, the voltage division rate K is smaller than 1 for the small input ei and approaches 1 in accordance with enlargement of the input ei, and thus, the voltage division rate K is changed in respect to the saturation characteristic. Consequently, the resistance R1 is selected to change the output signal linearly for the input of the saturation characteristic.
