Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve reliability by repairing a faulty doubling controller without stopping a system by connecting the input and output buses of two computers together on wired OR basis and by providing the doubling controller and manual changeover switches. CONSTITUTION:Two computers 1 and 2 have input and output buses 51 and 52 connected to an input and output bus 53 on wired OR basis, and a doubling controller 3 outputs a selective permit signal for the use of the input and output buses to the computers 1 and 2, and monitors the operation state of one computer in actual operation while diagnosing itself. On a path for the output signal of this controller 3, manual changeover switches 41 and 42 are provided to transfer the output signal of the controller 3 to the two computers 1 and 2 as it is and to supply the selective permit signal for the use of the input and output buses, independent of the output signal of the controller 3, to the computers 1 and 2.
