Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an economical and handy electric brake, by contriving an ignition control circuit of an exciting device in such a manner as to ground neutral point of a disconnector having the turn-on capacity by residual voltage of a generator and connect an exciting transformer to main transformer side of a circuit breaker of the generator. CONSTITUTION:When a circuit breaker 5 and a field circuit breaker 12 are released by command of Stop, field current of a generator 1 is discharged through a field discharge resistor 13, and when output voltage of the generator 1 dropped to the level of residual voltage, a generation-brake and grounding-disconnector 20 is closed and a switching circuit 16 is switched from AVR8 side to an ignition angle control circuit 17 side. As for the ignition angle control circuit 17, ignition control for a commutation circuit 10 is made in such a manner that output commutation of the commutation circuit 10 gradually decreases and becomes zero in the end.
