CONSTITUTION:Oxygen is supplied through a conduit 7 to an oxygen bottom blowing converter 1, and blowing is carried out. At the time of insertion of a sensor lance 11 into molten steel in order to obtain its information, the feeding of oxygen through the conduit 7 is interrupted temporarily at least with respect to the greater part by a valve 4. In lieu of this, one or >=2 kinds of gas such as Ar, N2, CO, CO2 inert to blowing reaction are blown through a conduit 9 so that the blowing reaction is killed during the sampling with the sensor lance 11.
