Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare clinker with good quality in reduced fuel consumption by a method wherein a firing apparatus of a powder stock material is constituted from a preheating apparatus equipped with a calcining furnace, a granulating apparatus, a firing furnace and a clinker cooling apparatus and waste heat is utilized in each apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A stock material to be fired such as a cement stock material or the like is thrown into a suspension type stock material preheating apparatus with a calcining furnace and preheated by a high temp. exhaust gas from the calcining furnace 4 through cyclones C2-C5 and, thereafter, charged into the calcining furnace 4 to subject limestone to decarbonation reaction to form CaO under heating by a burner 6A. Next, the calcined stock material is entered into a granulating apparatus 5 to be heated by a burner 6B as well as heated by a high temp. exhaust gas from the firing furnace 7 and a clinker cooling apparatus 8 to melt a part thereof to be granulated and, after grown into a particle with a predetermined size or more, entered into the fluidized layer type firing furnace 7 by own weight to be fired into clinker. The fired material is supplied into the cooling apparatus 8 to be cooled therein and the clinker of a cement stock material is taken out.
