Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable immediate processing if any failure takes place in a terminal or an exchanger, by receiving failure information transmitted from other terminal or exchanger and displaying the state of each terminal. CONSTITUTION:Facsimile terminal controllers F1-F5 are connected to an exclusive line network via exchangers A-E of each station. Address buttons 1-5 which designate addresses correspond to the exchangers A-D. Hatches 10- 40 of the address buttons 1-4 are failure display lamps provided at each terminal. When a facsimile of the station A is in failure, the failure signal is transmitted to other terminal controllers F2-F5 from the terminal controller F1 via the exchanger A. The terminal controllers F2-F5 receive the failure signal and illuminate or flicker the failure lamps of the hatched part of the address button 1 of the station A.
