Abstract
PURPOSE: To adjust the flow rate of high pressure water corresponding to the change of the slab width in a hot rolling mill by moving a valve body with a large diameter and small diameter pistons.
CONSTITUTION: A large diameter piston 6, 6 and small diameter piston 7, 7 move to the middle of a cylinder 4 when compressed air is introced through an air introduction port 16, 16 of the cylinder 4 and stop when they come in contact with a stopper 5 and at the same time a valve body 9 also moves to the middle of the cylinder 4. A water feed port 10 matches with a water discharge port 3 at that time. When compressed air is introduced into the cylinder 4 through the air introduction port 16 on a valve casing 1 side and is discharged through the air introduction port 16 on an end cover 13 side, the piston 7 pushes a pressure receiving part 12 to move the valve body in the direction of an arrow "a" thereby matching the water feed port 10, 10 with the water discharge port 3, 3 to supply high pressure water to narrow and wide scaling nozzle headers 29 and 30 respectively.
