Abstract

PURPOSE:To extend the life of a distributor, by using an electrical distributor instead of a mechanical contact and a mechanical distributor and preventing a spark from being generated except an ignition plug. CONSTITUTION:Signals Q0-Q3 which correspond to each cylinder are generated using an up-counter that is reset by a reference cylinder signal e1 and counts up each cylinder e2 and a decoder which converts the signals mentioned above into the output of the signals Q0-Q3. An ignition circuit 27 is driven per cylinder by the output from the signal P2 per each cylinder and output from AND circuit A1-A4 of cylinder decision signals P3-P6. Generation of any spark can be thus prevented, since no distribution is used.
