Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the high-pitched tone range of an electronic musical instrument and at the same time to obtain a divided output of an accurate 50% duty, by increasing the clock frequency with use of a feedback register of the maximum period. CONSTITUTION:A clock signal of 4.0048MHz is applied to an input terminal 11 and turned into a forward/backward phase signal through an inverter 12 to drive a shift register 13 of 9 stages. At the same time, the outputs of the 4th and 9th stages of the register 13 are applied to an exclusive OR circuit 14, and the output of the circuit 14 is fed back to the first stage. Thus a feedback register of the maximum period is obtained. The register 13 has a division ratio of 2<9>-1= 511 and applies a clock signal and a specific output among the stage outputs to an AND circuit 15. Then the register 13 is set at an early state with the output of the circuit 15 to obtain a prescribed ratio of division. The output of the circuit 15 is applied to a 1/2 dividing circuit 19 to obtain an output signal having a 50% duty ratio.
