Abstract

PURPOSE:To make an illuminating device compact by bending both end parts of a ring fluorescent lamp in the ring axis direction of the lamp. CONSTITUTION:A ring type fluorescent lamp 31 is disposed on the bottom surface side of a lamp mounting part 18. Both end parts 33 of a ring type bulb 32 are bent in such a way as to adjoin each other in the direction orthogonal to the plane inclusive of the effective light emitting part 34 of a ring shape. Both end parts 33 and 33 are connected to each other by means of a mouthpiece 35. Simply by fixing the mouthpiece 35 to a base 13, the electricity conducting terminals 40... of the mouthpiece 35 and input side contact pieces 15a and 16a are brought into press contact with each other, whereby the lamp 31 and a high frequency lighting circuit 28 are electrically connected and therefore the construction of this connected part is simplified.
