Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten the length of a lamp and increase effective length of light emission by protruding a pair of electricity receiving terminals from the body of a base in the direction right across the axis of bulb, wherein these planes shall be situated in a plane right across the axis of bulb parallelly with each other. CONSTITUTION:Existing invention includes a bulb 10 in the form of a cylinder and a pair of bases 12 fixed to its two ends. Each base 12 is equipped with a cylindrical body 24 whose one end is blocked by the bottom wall 24a and a pair of electricity receiving terminals 26, 26 fixed to the body 24. Each terminal 26 is made from a flat approx. rectangular plate, thin and long, whose upper half is inserted in the wider part of detent grooves 28, 28 while the lower half is protruding from the body 24 is the direction right across the axis of the bulb 10. These terminals 26, 26 are arranged parallelly so that their planes are positioned in parallel with the bottom plate 24a. Thus the length of lamp can be shortened, and effective length of light emission increased.
