Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable miniaturizing of a chassis dynamometer, by a method wherein the dynamometer and a speed-increasing gear are incorporated through the effective utilization of an internal space of a roller. CONSTITUTION:A fixed cylinder 15 is mounted in a roller 10 to which a stator 13 of a dynamometer 11 is attached, and meanwhile, a motor 12 is located at a rotary shaft 16 which is coupled to the roller 10 through a planetary gear train. The fixee cylinder 15 is secured to a rocking shaft 17 and is supported by a rocking bearing 14. The stator 13 is attached to the inner peripheral surface, and meanwhile, a planetary gear 19, engaging the inner teeth of the roller 10, is roatably supported. On the other hand, the rotary shaft 16 is placed at the center of the fixed cylinder 15, and a solar gear 20, engaging the planetary gear 19, is fastened thereto. This rotates the rotor 12 through the speed-increasing of it via the solar gear 20 following the rotation of the roller 10. This constitution permits a chassis dynamometer to be miniaturized.
