Abstract

PURPOSE: To grasp a limit of the abrasion of the current collecting piece by mounting a conductor crossed with a feeder in three dimensions at a section lower than a sliding surface of the current collecting piece under an electrically insulated condition to the current collecting piece.
CONSTITUTION: A pantograph link mechanism 4 functions as the pushing of an upper surface, the sliding surface, of the current collecting piece 6 fixed onto a cradle 5 for the current collecting piece by the force of a coil spring 7 against the bare feeder 8. Two grooves 11, 12 are grooved to a lower surface of the current collecting piece 6 so as to cross with the feeder 8 in three dimensions, and covered wires 13 are passed in the grooves 11, 12. When the feeder 8 contacts with the cores of the covered wires 13 due to the abrasion of the current collecting piece 6, feed power flows into the covered wires 13. The power is detected and the limit of the abrasion of the current collecting piece 6 is detected. Accordingly, the prescribed amount of abrasion of the current collecting piece can be grasped automatically.
