Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a grounding method which is capable of grounding conductive material with ease also in continuous automatic winding of wire or the like and carrying out the grounding operation more safely as compared with the case in which wire is grounded only at the feeding end portion of wire.
CONSTITUTION: When bobbin 2 is wound with insulating wire 1 to its full capacity, wire 1 is traversed from bobbin 2 to another bobbin 2' while wire 1 is fixed tightly at a portion thereof by wire fixing means 3. Simultaneously with the above or a little later, wire 1 is clamped automatically by a clamping means 4 having a plurality of teeth, so that it is grounded electrically through the clamping means 4. This clamping means 4 is made, for instance, of a plurality of teeth 5 formed with notches of different diameters and a mating memger 6 for holding wire 1 between itself and the teeth 5. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to ground conductive material with ease also in continuous automatic winding of wire or the like, and safety of the wire winding operation can be improved considerably.
