Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a carbonic acid gas laser device having long life and stable laser output by adding hydrogen gas with nitrogen gas partial pressure of 0.5% or more and 5% or less to an active medium consisting of a mixer of nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and helium and the like. CONSTITUTION:Hydrogen gas with nitrogen gas partial pressure of 0.5% or more and 5% or less is added to an active medium consisting of a mixer of nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and helium. It is preferable that at laser a cathode electrode out of a discharge electrode 2 is composed of either material of Ti, W, Mo. In this way, a carbonic acid gas device having long life and stable laser output can be obtained.
