Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable a submerged power source device to be used under depth pressure by filling the storing space of an auxiliary device for operating a battery with an insulating and non-corrosive liquid, and providing a part of an electrolyte circulating route with a flexible pressure transmission member. CONSTITUTION:Electrolyte is supplied from a tank 3 to a generation cell part 1 of a lithium silver-monoxide battery by means of a pump 4. At the same time, sea water is introduced into the part 1 by means of a quantitative pump 5 for maintaining the concentration of the electrolyte appropriately. A space 11, which is a storing part A of an auxiliary device such as a tank 3, is filled with an insulating and non-corrosive liquid. The tank 3 is equipped with a bellows 9 made of a pressure transmitting flexible material. Owing to the above constitution, when the device is put under a deep sea, the pressure inside the circulating route is transmitted to the insulating liquid by means of the bellows 9, thereby enabling the entire device to be made into an equilibrium state with homogeneous pressure. Consequently, the device is enabled to be used under a deep sea without using any pressure-resistant part.
