Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure the uniform destaticization with a simple constitution and without lowering the durability of a dielectric recording medium, by applying the voltage of opposite polarity via a conductive brush to an electrostatic latent image recorded on the dielectric recording medium and then discharging and eliminating the latent image on the dielectric substance. CONSTITUTION:A dielectric recording medium 11 is constituted with 3 layers, i.e., a dielectric layer 11a, a conductive layer 11b and a base layer 11c of ''Mylaer '', etc. The layer 11b is grounded. A conductive brush 12 is made by holding the conductive fibers 13 of a soft material like conductive carbon, etc. with metallic supporters 14 and has a contact with the recording surface of the medium 11. The 200V voltage having the opposite polarity to the latent image recorded on the medium 11 is applied from a voltage power supply 15 via a conductive brush 13 to discharge and eliminate the above-mentioned latent image.
