Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively use a generator output by a method wherein a battery is controlled by by-passing while an AC load is controlled by short circuiting. CONSTITUTION:The solid line denoted output of a generating coil 1 is supplied to a serial combination of a battery 3 and an AC load 7 while the broken line denoted output is supplied to the AC load 7. When the terminal voltage of the battery 3 reaches a prescribed level, the SCR40 of a battery voltage regulator 9 is activated, causing battery charging output surplus to be supplied to the AC load 7. Reaching a prescribed level of the terminal voltage of the AC load 7 activates the SCR20 of an AC load voltage regulator 8, short circuiting the output to the AC load 7. A rotation speed detecting circuit 60 and an operation control circuit 70, responding to the reading of the generation rotation speed and the presence/non-presence of the AC load 7, stops the operation of the battery voltage regulator 9. This ensures an efficient use of generator output and a simultaneous regulation of AC and DC voltages.
