Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize high speed having of a stepping motor by a method wherein surge voltages are fed back toward the driving power source and are rapidly absorbed by a capacitor. CONSTITUTION:A stepping motor SM is run for a prescribed period of time and then a switch SW2 is turned off, generating a surge voltage at the low potential side input end (b). The surge voltage is absorbed by a capacitor C1, meaning that it is fed back to the high potential side. Surge voltages not higher than the high potential are thus absorbed. Only surge voltages higher than the high potential go through the combination of serially connected resistor R and diode D4 to reach the stepping motor SM and are dissipated in the driving coil of said motor.
