Abstract

PURPOSE: To correct the distribution of gas flow by a method wherein the direction and the quantity of air flows discharged from slits into an internal cylinder are selected so as to give resistance to gas flow revolving in one direction to break the revolving gas flow.
CONSTITUTION: The slits 11 between adjacent ceramic blocks in the axial Y direction of the internal cylinder 1 are inclined so as to make discharging air flows 13 in the direction resisting the revolution of gas flows 12 and the discharging air quantity is adjusted by selection of the width of the slits to break and correct the revolving gas flow 12. In this method, when mere selection of the inclination and the width of the slit 11 is made and heat insulating structure by ceramic blocks is used according to the speed of expected revolving gas flow, distributions of the gas flow in the middle and on the external periphery of the burning part can be simply and nearly equalized.
