Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent any cavitation growth through reduction of flow speed of pressurized fluid passing through a throttle portion achieved by varying throttle resistance of the throttle portion consisting of two pseudoparallel planes in response to overlapping length of land portions.
CONSTITUTION: A spool valve member 22 is provided with a plurality of land portions 33 at equal angular intervals corresponding to grooves 27 of a sleeve vale member 21, on its outer periphery, and also provided with grooves 34 between these land portions 33. The radius of a first land portion 33a of these land portions 33 formed in the spool valve member 22 is set slightly smaller than that of a land portion 33b. Thus, when the spool valve member 22 is rotated relatively to the sleeve valve member 21, the land portion 28 of the sleeve valve member overlaps the first land portion 33a through a gap h so that a throttle 40 consisting of two pseudo parallel planes is formed.
