Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent cavitation from occurring by forming two planes of action with different angles of inclination on the edge of the land sections of a sleeve valve member and applying a gently inclined face to the leading section of the plane of action. CONSTITUTION:A rotary type servo valve is composed of a sleeve valve member 21 and a spool valve member 22 which are engaged each other capable of relative rotations, and the spool valve member 22 is rotated by a handle operation so as to form a throttle section together with the sleeve valve member 21 and to generate a steering pressure corresponding to the opening of this throttle section. The first and the second planes of action 47, 48 with different angles of inclination are formed on individual land sections of the spool valve member 22, and a gently inclined face 49 is formed on the leading section of the second plane of action 48 with a larger angle of inclination.
