Abstract

949,954. Spray producers. A.P.V. CO. Ltd. March 23, 1962 [Dec. 23, 1960], No. 44329/60. Heading B2F. Spray is produced through opening 2, Fig. 2, when two columns of liquid under pressure in duct 1 collide. When pressures on the columns are equal the spray axis is as indicated at 5. Spray may be oscillated between 6 and 7 by submitting each column to a pulsing pressure such that a phase difference exists between the pulsations applied to each column. Pulsations may be achieved by means of valves 10, 11 operated sequentially to produce change in the pressure of one column relative to the other or by a rotary valve 8 which has the same effect.
