Abstract

PURPOSE:To operate the lighting means for liquid crystal indication even if a light switch is off during the running in the daytime by adopting the logic in regard to the opening and closing of an ignition switch and a light switch for the operational condition of a liquid crystal indication lighting device. CONSTITUTION:When an ignition switch 3 is on and a light switch 3 is off during the running in the daytime, the output of OR-gate 16 is in L-level, and a lighting signal (a) of H-level is outputted from an NAND-gate 17. As transistors 12 and 13 are continued to be on, current is supplied to an electric lamp 9 from an electric source 1, and an electric lamp 10 is lit by a fixed luminous intensity indicated by the lighting signal (a), that is, the maximum luminous intensity. On the other hand, oscillation pulses are inputted into a single-stable multivibrator 6 from a nonstable oscillator 5. When a volume adjuster 7 is operated to set the luminous intensity, pulses of a duty cycle with a pulse width corresponding to the increase and decrease of the set resistance are outputted from the multivibrator 6.
