Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the device and make an optical transmission for sound, which is strong against the external noise and has a high fidelity, possible, by vibrating a diaphragm by a sound signal and by reflecting the output from a light source by the diaphragm and by causing this output to be incident to an optical fiber bundle as positional information and transmitting it. CONSTITUTION:When a diaphragm 1 is vibrated as shown in 2 and 3 by a sound signal, a light 41 condensed from a light source 4 by a lens 5 is reflected to different positions such as 7-9 and is incident to different optical fibers 10. These optical fibers 10 are gathered into an optical fiber bundle 11 and are expanded to optical fibers 10 again in the receiving side. Outputs from optical fibers are sent to corresponding photodetectors 15 and are converted to electric signals. These electric signals are inputted to an adder 16. The adder 16 consists of elements corresponding to respective photodetectors 15, and respective elements give different outputs, which are regulated for the input of a constant level or more, to an output terminal 17, thereby reproducing a sound 18.
