Abstract
PURPOSE:To equalize focusing conditions of three electron beams with each other, by forming mutually integrated three expanded portions on the sealing surface of the third grid electrode of three integrated electron guns facing the second grid electrode thereof and making the height of the central expanded portion higher than those of outer side expanded portions. CONSTITUTION:Integrated electron guns are constituted by arranging in the beam progressing direction, the first, the second, the third, the fourth grid electrodes 11, 12, 23, 14 and a magnetic pole 15 oppositely to three aligned cathode structure 10R, 10G, 10B, and forming three through holes for electron beams in each electrode. The third grid electrode 23 is made by piling two sealed cylindrical electrodes 23-1, 23-2, and expanded portions 23AR, 23AG,23AB provided with through holes for electron beams in their tips are integrally formed on the surface of the third grid electrode facing the second grid electrode 12, and the height (h)0 of the central expanded portion is made higher than the height (h)1 of the outer side expanded portions. Thereby, optimum focusing conditions of central and both outer side electron beams can be equalized with each other.
